Tink is done!

Mon Oct 26, 2009, 6:38 AM
So, I finished making Tinkerbell today and the wings are coming in tomorrow, I think. They aren't the awesome custom ones I wanted, but they'll do for short notice. My other plan was to paint them on my shoulders.

I did a make-up and wig test tonight, but unfortunately the wig doesn't look exactly right. It's kind of old and won't style too well, plus my hair is still a bit too short in the back and sticks out at the bottom. So I'm going to work with it tomorrow. I might have to venture away from traditional Tink a bit and leave some of the hair down in the back. I'm already kind of venturing away with the make-up some, so I might as well go the whole way. ^_^

I'll try to get some pictures up tomorrow (didn't take any tonight since I messed up the eyeliner a bit). It'll be everything minus the eyelashes since I don't want to mess them up before the party.

I was surprised. It only took about two hours to cut out the patterns and sew together. I'm kind of proud since it's the first fitted dress that I've made from my own patterns. There is a spot in the back that doesn't lay too well, but it's okay. I'm not out to win any cosplay awards with this one. It's just a fun Halloween costume. My biggest fear was getting it to stay up on top and I've managed to take care of that. Though... I think I need to get a hook since the zipper popped open a couple times when I was trying it on.

So, that's that. ^_^ I'm just happy that I finished this Halloween costume in time. I only had the Major about 80% done last year. Though Tink is considerably easier...

How's JBU?
